Lodgr (iOS app, bundle id com.byteflicker.lodgr)

Last updated: May 2026

Summary

Lodgr is published by Byte Flicker Pty Ltd (ABN 68 625 784 287), an Australian private company registered in New South Wales, Australia. Lodgr does not collect, transmit or sell personal data. The expenses, receipts, income entries, trip logs and BAS / GST records you create stay on your device.

Data We Process

Lodgr processes only data you create within the app — expenses, receipts, income entries, trip logs and BAS / GST records. All such data is stored on your device using Apple's SwiftData / SQLite storage and is never transmitted to Byte Flicker Pty Ltd servers.

Device Permissions

Lodgr requests the following permissions only when the corresponding feature is used:

  • Location — used to record GPS tracks for business mileage at the current ATO 88¢/km or IRD per-tier rate. Background location is only active while you have a trip recording.
  • Camera — used to scan receipts. Apple's Vision framework extracts vendor, amount, GST and date on-device; the photo never leaves your iPhone.
  • Photo Library — used to import existing receipt photos into your expense ledger.
  • Notifications — used for BAS / GST due-date reminders, quarterly summary nudges and trip-end prompts.
  • Face ID — used to lock the app behind biometric authentication. Face ID matching is performed by Apple's Secure Enclave; we never see your biometric data.

iCloud Sync

Lodgr does not use iCloud sync. All app data stays on a single device.

Analytics, Advertising & Third-Party SDKs

  • Third-party analytics: None. We do not embed analytics SDKs in the app.
  • Third-party advertising / tracking: None. We do not show ads, embed ad SDKs or use the App Tracking Transparency framework.

The app does include the following narrow-purpose SDKs:

  • RevenueCat — used only to validate your active subscription entitlement against the App Store. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app-install identifier and your StoreKit transaction; it never receives your name, email, Apple ID or in-app data.

In-App Purchases

Lodgr offers in-app subscriptions and / or one-time purchases through Apple's StoreKit. Payment, billing, refund and renewal are all handled by Apple. Byte Flicker Pty Ltd receives an anonymous transaction receipt to validate your entitlement on-device. We never see your payment method or Apple ID.

Children's Privacy

Lodgr is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to access, correct or request deletion of any personal information we hold about you. Because Lodgr stores data on your own device, you can already see and delete everything from within the app at any time. To request deletion of any communication you have sent us, email support@byteflicker.com.
