Does Lodgr lodge my BAS or tax return?
No. Lodgr is a self-service tracker. We hand you a clean PDF you (or your accountant) can lodge through the ATO/IRD or myTax. We don't take a cut, hold your money, or replace a registered tax agent. If you want full-service tax filing, look at Hnry or Beany — they're great products for that.
What's the difference between Free and Pro?
Free gives you 30 expense entries (scanned or manual), 30 income entries, and 15 trips each month. The current quarter's BAS preview, set-aside calculator and tax dashboard are fully open. Pro removes the limits and adds PDF reports (BAS, tax-ready annual, branded invoice, P&L), all historical BAS / GST quarters, unlimited bank statement imports, and one-tap email to your accountant.
Does Lodgr work offline?
Yes. Every screen works on a plane, on a worksite, or with no signal. Your data is stored on your device using SQLite — no cloud account, no broker holding your records.
How does the 7-day free trial work?
On the annual plan you get full Pro for 7 days at no charge. We send a reminder on day 3 and day 6. Cancel before the trial ends in App Store → Account → Subscriptions and you'll never be charged. After 7 days the subscription becomes AUD $29.99 / year (NZD $24.99).
What about my data if I switch between AU and NZ?
Each region keeps its own ledger — switching from AU to NZ swaps the data space cleanly, and your AU records reappear when you switch back. Your Pro entitlement is account-wide, so you don't lose Pro by switching regions.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, anytime. Open Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions on iOS. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Your data stays on your device whether you keep paying or not.
Why does Lodgr need camera and location?
Camera scans receipts and extracts amount, date, merchant and GST. Location records GPS mileage trips for ATO/IRD vehicle deductions at the current per-kilometre rate. Both are processed on-device — neither is sent to our servers.
Subscriptions
All subscriptions are managed by Apple. To view, change, pause or cancel:
- Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad
- Tap your name at the top
- Tap Subscriptions
- Find Lodgr in the list and choose what to do
