End User License Agreement for Lodgr (iOS app, bundle id com.byteflicker.lodgr)
Last updated: May 2026
Agreement
This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") is between you and Byte Flicker Pty Ltd (ABN 68 625 784 287) ("we", "us"), an Australian private company registered in New South Wales, Australia. By installing, accessing or using Lodgr ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
License Grant
Subject to your compliance with this Agreement, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Lodgr on Apple devices that you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions (Standard EULA). The App is licensed to you, not sold.
Your Data
Data you create within Lodgr — expenses, receipts, income entries, trip logs and BAS / GST records — belongs to you and is stored on your device. We never have access to it. You can delete the App at any time, which removes all on-device data.
Subscriptions & In-App Purchases
Lodgr offers subscriptions and / or one-time purchases through Apple's StoreKit. By subscribing, you authorise Apple to charge your Apple ID at the rate displayed at point of purchase.
- Monthly — AUD $4.99 / month
- Annual — AUD $29.99 / year
Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Manage, change or cancel subscriptions in Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device.
A free trial of 7 days may be offered to new subscribers. Cancelling before the trial ends prevents any charge. Cancellation does not extend an in-progress paid period — refunds for unused time are governed by Apple's policies and Australian Consumer Law.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the App except as permitted by applicable law
- Remove copyright, trademark or other proprietary notices from the App or its assets
- Use the App in any way that violates Australian or applicable foreign law
- Use automated means to access, scrape or interact with the App outside its intended use
- Distribute, sublicense, sell or rent the App or any part of it
Intellectual Property
The Lodgr source code, design, the on-device receipt-OCR pipeline and the deduction-rate tables for the ATO and IRD are owned by Byte Flicker Pty Ltd. Tax-rate data is compiled from public ATO and IRD sources and is updated when those sources are revised; we make no warranty that any single rate or rule reflects your individual circumstances.
Australian Consumer Law
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010). For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract with us and a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have problems with the service rectified in a reasonable time and, if this is not done, to cancel your contract and obtain a refund for the unused portion of the contract.
Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Lodgr is a self-service tracker, not a registered tax agent. We do not lodge BAS, IAS or income-tax returns on your behalf, and we do not hold or move your money. The set-aside calculator and BAS preview are estimates based on the data you enter and the published ATO/IRD rates current at the time; you remain responsible for the accuracy of any return you lodge with the ATO or IRD.
Our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
Termination
This Agreement remains in effect until terminated. You may terminate at any time by deleting the App from your devices and cancelling any active subscription. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you breach this Agreement. On termination, you must stop using the App; clauses regarding intellectual property, disclaimer, limitation of liability and governing law survive.
Apple as Third-Party Beneficiary
You acknowledge that this Agreement is between you and Byte Flicker Pty Ltd, not with Apple. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of this Agreement and may enforce it against you. Apple is solely responsible for the App's distribution through the App Store; Byte Flicker Pty Ltd is solely responsible for the App, its content, maintenance, support and any product-liability claims relating to it.
Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Agreement is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, except where the Australian Consumer Law provides otherwise.
Changes
We may update this Agreement when the App changes materially. Continued use after the updated date constitutes acceptance. The Last updated date at the top of this page reflects the current version.
