Privacy Policy

Summary

Tenantry is published by Byte Flicker Pty Ltd (ABN 68 625 784 287), an Australian private company registered in New South Wales, Australia. Tenantry does not collect, transmit or sell personal data. The properties, leases, rent ledger entries, expense records, condition reports and bond claim packs you create stay on your device. Tenantry can optionally sync your data to your own private iCloud account using Apple CloudKit. We never have access to that data.

Data We Process

Tenantry processes only data you create within the app — properties, leases, rent ledger entries, expense records, condition reports and bond claim packs. All such data is stored on your device using Apple's SwiftData / SQLite storage and is never transmitted to Byte Flicker Pty Ltd servers.

Device Permissions

Tenantry requests the following permissions only when the corresponding feature is used:

• Location — used for MapKit address autocomplete when you add a property. The address is used to centre the map view; we do not record your own device location.
• Camera — used to scan receipts and capture condition-report photos. Apple's Vision framework reads vendor, amount, GST and date on-device.
• Photo Library — used to attach inspection and maintenance photos to condition reports and expense entries.
• Notifications — used for state-specific compliance reminders — smoke-alarm renewal, rent-increase notice windows, inspection notices and bond-return deadlines, scheduled per the property's state.

iCloud Sync

Tenantry can sync your data across your devices using Apple iCloud (CloudKit). When iCloud sync is enabled, your data is stored in your private iCloud database, encrypted by Apple. Byte Flicker Pty Ltd has no access to that data and cannot read it. Disable sync at any time in Settings → your Apple ID → iCloud → Tenantry.

Analytics, Advertising & Third-Party SDKs

• Third-party analytics: None. We do not embed analytics SDKs in the app.
• Third-party advertising / tracking: None. We do not show ads, embed ad SDKs or use the App Tracking Transparency framework.

A future release of Tenantry may include an opt-in, anonymous telemetry option (off by default) so we can understand which features are getting used. If we ship that, we will update this page and notify you in-app before any data leaves your device.

In-App Purchases

Tenantry offers in-app subscriptions and / or one-time purchases through Apple's StoreKit. Payment, billing, refund and renewal are all handled by Apple. Byte Flicker Pty Ltd receives an anonymous transaction receipt to validate your entitlement on-device. We never see your payment method or Apple ID.

Children's Privacy

Tenantry is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to access, correct or request deletion of any personal information we hold about you. Because Tenantry stores data on your own device, you can already see and delete everything from within the app at any time.
